JOB DESCRIPTION
Arborists manage, maintain and care for trees. They identify particular types of trees, inspect and prune them. They often deal with hazards such as trees that are within proximity to power lines, or fallen branches. They consult with relevant authorities regarding removal of specific trees and work with equipment such as power saws.
DUTIES AND TASKS
An arborist may perform the following duties:
- prune and manage trees and tree plantations
- remove dangerous trees or fallen branches
- assess the health of a tree
- provide care and attention to trees.
