JOB DESCRIPTION
Casting directors read scripts and collaborate with producers, directors and writers to create descriptions of the physical attributes, skills, and experience sought in actors to portray particular characters.
DUTIES AND TASKS
Casting directors may perform the following tasks:
- send actor’s requirements to talent agencies
- review actors’ resumes and headshots
- sift through resumes to identify the most qualified actors
- hold initial round of auditions
- make decisions and select actors’ to meet Directors and Producers.
