Trade Retail Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

A trade retail assistant talks to customers over the phone and serves customers in person. They must have excellent product knowledge and be willing to find out what they don’t know in order to satisfy the customer, ensure profitability and retain customers.

DUTIES AND TASKS

A trade retail assistant may perform the following duties:

  • assist customers with products and services
  • give advice and guidance on product selection
  • process payments, issue receipts
  • balance cash registers
  • issue refunds
  • undertake stock checks
  • data entry.
